Your site checklist

• 1. Delivery location

  Have the suburb or postcode ready, plus the exact address when the team confirms delivery.

• 2. Entrance and turns

  Photograph the gate, driveway and every tight turn from the road to the unloading area. Include useful measurements.

• 3. Overhead obstacles

  Tell the team about powerlines, branches, eaves and other obstacles. Do not assume a crane can work safely beneath them.

• 4. Ground and weather

  Describe soft ground, recent rain, slopes, drainage and any underground services. Ask whether a loaded truck can safely reach the spot.

• 5. Final position and doors

  Mark where the container should sit and which way the doors should face. Leave room to open them and access the contents.

• 6. Support and permissions

  Confirm the preparation and support needed with the delivery team. Check applicable council, landlord or site requirements for your intended use.

• 7. People and timing

  Arrange a contact who can be reached on delivery day. Keep people, animals and parked vehicles clear of the working area.
